7 Indian tourists hurt in minibus crash in Huay Yai

Seven Indian tourists were injured when their minibus slammed into a utility pole in Huay Yai.

Four men and three Indians, plus the Thai driver, suffered injuries ranging from broken limbs to head lacerations in the July 1 crash on Highway 36 about 500 meters from the Khao Maikaew ramp. All were taken to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya and Banglamung Hospital for treatment.

Police suspect Virat Plengplang, 37, driver of the G&G Voice Age Ltd. van, fell asleep while transporting the tourists from Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Rayong.
