The police's Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) has summoned Thai PBS Television's political news editor Soemsuk Kasitipradit, Chonburi UDD leader Dechathon Thiraphiriya, former TV program host Yo Onsine and Waruni Khamduengsi for questioning.
According to Police Major General Phisit Pao-in, the commander of the TCSD, the 4 posted social media messages alleging an impending coup and urging people to hoard food and water, and this may have caused panic among the public. After interrogation, if the 4 are found to have committed an offense they will be charged with violating article 14 of the computer control law and the criminal code.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Phisit also added he would like to caution people against posting, 'liking' or forwarding messages that may affect internal security, as this could earn them the consideration of 'accomplice to the crime'. ]
