Re: PEA blames third-party techs for Pattaya wiring problems (PM Friday 22 May 2015) – Easy way to solve this problem – when cables become a danger to pedestrians on sidewalks or pavements and there is no identification as to their purpose, cut them down if they do not comply with Safety Council regulations.

99% are TV or telephone lines. PEA and EGAT are very strict with power cables. A simple slabbed burial trench would have been much easier to maintain!

The national TV Co and Telephone Co must take action. These tangled messes are an eyesore and a laughing matter with tourists, and dangerous! Maybe few million baht fine each month would spark interest!
