Police are looking for a young motorbike driver who shot a Pattaya woman while she was transporting two other people on her motorbike on Sukhumvit Road.

Jintada Takimnok, 23, sustained a single gunshot to the left side in the Aug. 15 incident near the Pattaya Floating Market. She was taken to Banglamung Hospital for treatment.

The victim’s brother, Niphat Takimnok, 21, said he and one other person were passengers on Jintada’s motorbike as they headed out around 11 a.m. to drink.

En route, Jintada overtook a lone driver on another bike, who apparently took offense. He sped up and pulled alongside, pulling a gun and firing once at the three-person bike.

Police are examining closed-circuit television camera footage in hopes of identifying the driver.
