U.N. committee tours Marine Corps museum

80 members of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific learned the history of the Royal Thai Marine Corps during a tour at its Sattahip base.

The ESCAP panelists saw an exhibition on the involvement of the royal family with the Royal Thai Navy, including visits paid by HM the King to various battle sites and practice ranges since 1946.

The U.N. group also observed historical photos, flags of various units, weapons and models of various battle scenes.

The ESCAP committee praised the museum and sailors of the Royal Thai Navy for their discipline, patience and bravery.
