Transvestite arrested for pick-pocketing

Police arrested a 32-year-old transvestite who allegedly pickpocketed a British man as he stumbled home from Halloween parities on Soi Buakaow.

Chaiyos Muenkhumlue of Phitsanulok was apprehended by Pattaya patrol officers seconds after Stephen David Perry had his wallet stolen around 4 a.m. Nov. 1. The officers had been passing by the crime as it occurred.

On Chaiyos, officers recovered Perry’s wallet, containing his passport and more than 4,800 baht cash.

Police said the transvestite confessed to the robbery.
