The commander-general of the Royal Thai Police toured Walking Street, hearing from local commanders about efforts to keep tourists safe.

Gen. Adul Saengsingkaew walked the nightlife district Dec. 11 with Region 2 police commander Gen. Worapong Thongsong, Chonburi Police Station Superintendent Khatcha Thatsart and new Pattaya Superintendent Col. Suwan Chiewwanavinthawat.

Adul was in town to attend a police seminar at the Zign Hotel. But he took an hour to hear summaries on tourist safety and issued six policies on clarity, efficiency, management and “one stop” service centers.
