Vice Adm. Chumpol Wongwekhin, director of Thai-MECC Zone 1 presided over the Sept. 11 meeting at the A-One Royal Cruise Hotel with representatives from 92 units, including harbor masters in Chachoengsao and Chonburi; tax offices and Koh Chang National Park.
This agenda covered discussion of projects conducted, covering successes and obstacles, and an exchange of information to help solve issues.

Thai-MECC Zone 1 directs and coordinates prevention and suppression operations at sea including training in disaster prevention, chemical and oil spills, and cargo traffic management at piers.
“The Thai-MECC Zone 1 has issued policies to Thai-MECC in all three zones to conduct operations in maintaining the benefits for the nation from sea, including underground, sea resources and water surface, which have been evaluated to be valued at 13.5 (billion) baht,” Chumpol said.
“Thai-MECC Zone 1, therefore, has to invite relevant agencies to discuss plans and after conducting the plans, a meeting was held to discuss the successes including exchanging information, helping to solve obstacles faced by various agencies.”
