Police are searching for a Thai woman believed to have fatally stabbed her 64-year-old Finnish boyfriend.

The body of Timo Juhani Tarra was found lying in a pool of blood on Soi Kophai Oct. 7. Witnesses reported seeing a woman in her 40s tossing aside a bloodied knife and fleeing on a motorbike. Police found the blade nearby, along with laundry, a packet of Viagra and 160 baht in cash.

Anek Lerksiri, whose foreign boyfriend is a friend of Tarra’s, told police the most likely suspect was the victim’s early-40’s girlfriend, identified only as Vasana. She was seen arguing with Tarra earlier.

Police are reviewing area CCTV footage as part of their investigation.
