Students at Pattaya School No. 5 were encouraged to show more concern for the environment by recycling.

Teachers organized the June 24 “Eliminate garbage in school and community” project to show how to screen garbage and change students’ mindsets when it comes to waste disposal.

Lessons were given to the first through sixth graders on creating organic fertilizer from biodegradable refuse to be used in agriculture, making learning and teaching media from scraps, founding a recycling bank at school, and creating an environmental network comprised of students, teachers and outside organizations.
