Three officers responded and thought they had easily cornered the 2-year-old, until it squeaked by them. They then lassoed the boar, but it again escaped by tearing the nylon rope as it was being lifted to a second-story pen.
“But I don’t want to get into that pickup truck!” This 200kg wild boar gives animal rescue officers all they can handle.
It took another couple of hours to again ensnare the animal, with officers this time swooping it up in a morgue body bag, then tying it in a knot. To be sure the piggy was packed, they tied it to a sign until a truck arrived.
Resident Kampanath Lappol, 42, said he was glad the boar was returned unhurt.
