Sattahip Naval Base plants 1,600 trees for royal birthday

The Sattahip Naval Base planted 1,600 Siamese Rosewood trees to honor HRH Princess Sirindhorn for her 60th birthday.

Vice Adm. Wipak Noyjinda oversaw the March 26 merit-making activity at Khlong Bang Pai Lake in Ban Chang’s Samnakton village with the mayors of Ban Chang and Pla, community leaders, students and government workers.

Wipak said that Sattahip Naval Base joined Ban Chang Sub-district and Rayong Province for activities to honor HRH Princess Sirindhorn for her April 2 birthday to show their loyalty.

The trees were planted in a free, open area near Khlong Bang Pai lake, which covers 15 rai of land. The 800 young Siamese Rosewood trees were planted as well as another 800 Siamese Rosewood seedlings.

The Sattahip Naval Base is responsible of the area concerned and is happy to support the occasion with the open land and the help of Samnakton village residents.
