The agenda saw officials explain the guidelines for solutions and describe the current labor situation through the use of guest speakers from the Chonburi Provincial Employment Office and the province’s one-stop labor-service centers.
Participants exchanged opinions on illegal labor agencies which contribute to human trafficking in the area, especially Samae San and Bang Saray’s fishing industry.
Rear Adm. Tee said Thailand is facing increasing problems with drugs, crime, and social conflict. Human trafficking adds to those problems, he said. Thus the NCPO is pushing to eliminate the problems.
