Sanctuary of Truth hosting 5-religion ceremony Dec. 6-9

The Sanctuary of Truth again will host a five-religion ceremony for people of all faiths to express their devotion to Their Majesties the King and Queen Dec. 6-9.

Manager Noppadol Phetrat said the observance for followers of Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Hindu and Sikh will let people express their loyalty to the royal couple and engenders harmony and unity among people nationwide.

Last year, Privy Councilor Pichit Kullavanijaya presided over the ceremony where 199 monks accepted alms, rice, and dried food. This year’s ceremony starts at 9 a.m. Dec. 6.

Activities will continue throughout the day with an exhibition of HM the King’s life and work, blood donations, health checkups for the elderly, and education on how to follow the HM the King’s sufficiency-economy philosophy.
