One person was killed and three injured when two pickup trucks collided in Najomtien.
Pong Daoyan, 48, was crushed inside the passenger seat of a blue Isuzu truck Feb. 24 on Sukhumvit Road at the Soi Nongjubtao intersection. Driver Banjong Plialop, 53, sustained severe injuries.
About 10 meters from their vehicle, another Isuzu pickup contained injured Phaithun Kaewthong, 29, and his wife Sunisa Kaewthong, 28. Both were taken to Queen Sirikit Hospital.
The driver of this pickup allegedly ran a red light, killing one person and injuring three others.
A witness reported that Banjong’s truck was turning off Sukhumvit onto Soi Nongjubtao when Phaithun ran a red light and smashed into the side of the turning vehicle, killing Pong.
