Royal Garden Plaza management and tenants, along with staff from the Marriott Resort & Spa Pattaya, teamed up to clean up the area surrounding the beachfront mall and hotel during their annual “big cleaning day.”

Pattaya City Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai joined mall manager Lalita Wimonpan and finance director Wanchai Ponchue to lead employees of several stores, the Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa and the Lions Club of Pattaya on the Feb. 17 cleanup.

“We hold the big cleaning day every year intending to raise awareness for everyone and every community in Pattaya about the importance of keeping the community clean by starting in front of our own homes,” Lalita said. “If everyone start cleaning together at the same time, Pattaya will be very clean and beautiful and tourists who take their holidays here will be impressed with what we do.”

Rattanachai applauded the effort, saying if every shop in the city did the same, Pattaya would be much cleaner.
