Rayong sets transport priorities for budget meeting

Rayong officials sought out public opinion to finalize their list of transportation, utility and infrastructure projects they want funded in the next budget.

Gov. Senee Jittakasem hosted the May 29 meeting to prioritize 125 million baht in projects addressing flooding, water distribution and road projects in the province. Among them are a 60 million baht reservoir and 40 million baht widening of Maptaput Road.

The list will be presented to Transportation Ministry officials at a June 18-19 meeting in Pattaya.

Other projects aimed at tourism development include 25 million baht for signage, garbage removal, coral reef restoration and general tourism attraction development.
