Public-health volunteers trained on elderly nutrition

Pattaya public-health volunteers received training on elderly nutrition and food to help them better assist local communities.

About 100 volunteers joined the Feb. 21 training session at Pattaya City Hall with Kanda Nawong, a Public Health Department nurse and health promotion Director Punnapha Thongphan.

Jiranan Tongsamrit, a nutritionist from Somdej Phra Sangkhraraj Sangworn Hospital for the Elderly, presented the lecture.

The volunteers work in neighborhood health clinics that offer advice and organize activities. Training seminars are offered monthly.

Volunteer Siriwan Ruenarom said she can implement the training in her daily life and use it to help others.
