Police seize 218,400 ya ba pills in Banbung raid

Police seized nearly 220,000 methamphetamine tablets and arrested five people in a raid of a Banbung drug house.

Region 2 police officials announced the arrest of Suchin Ariyasakulwattana, 39; Sinwang Sae-Jue, 36; Suphot Laechai, 49; Maliwan Sae-U, 25; and Santichai Krajangpong, 53, at a July 21 press conference. Officers seized 218,400 ya ba pills, two cars, five phones and 1 million baht in cash. All the suspects were charged with possession and intent to sell a Class 1 narcotic.

Police said the June 20 arrest came after an undercover operative arranged to buy 400 ya ba pills from Santichai. The others, including Sinwang, a Chinese national, were arrested at the scene.
