Police have arrested two men suspected in a string of convenience-store robberies since late June.

Chanont Leela, 21, and Kiattisak Wannaying, 22, were apprehended July 6 in a room at Udom Pier in Surasak where Chanont works. A fake BB gun, 22 cm. knife and 60,000 baht was recovered.

The arrest came after the duo allegedly held up a Family Mart store near Bunsamphan Temple around midnight the day before. Police recognized the pair shown on security cameras from other area robberies reported in the past two weeks.

Police claim the suspects also robbed seven convenience stores in Nongprue, Thungkrad, Takientia, Pattaya, Pong, and Nong Plalai, each time getting away on a Honda Click motorbike with between 3,000 and 42,000 baht.

Police claim the two suspects confessed to all the robberies, claiming they needed to money to shower on karaoke girls at a Sriracha bar where they spent every evening.
