Police arrested two Thai men accused of being major crystal methamphetamine dealers in Pattaya.

Thongchai Jaisithi, 41, of Chantaburi was arrested in an undercover sting operation July 30 at the Janthasaithong bungalow on Soi Khao Noi. Police found 8.5 g. of ya ice, a digital scale and mobile phone on him. Officers also recovered two motorbikes and 92,000 baht in suspected drug funds.

Under interrogation, Thongchai coughed up his supplier and arranged to participate in another police buy.

This time, police tried to arrest Thanasin Daengchart at a Lotus Express convenience store, but he fled and was finally apprehended near the Pattaya Floating Market. Officers recovered 13.5 g. of crystal meth and a scale.

Both were charged with possession and intent to sell a Class 1 narcotic.
