Bird, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden’s top breeding elephant added to his impressive total of offspring with the Jan. 29 birth of his 40th calf.
Ple, 25, gave birth to the female elephant, her third with Bird. She was pregnant for about two years.
Nong Nooch Director Kampol Tansajja said both mother and calf were given checkups and are doing fine.
Nong Nooch is discussing a date for the new elephant’s naming ceremony and will host a media event to unveil its latest addition.
Mother and daughter are reportedly doing just fine.
