Navy sends royal flood aid to Sukhothai, Nan

The Royal Thai Navy cooperated with the Princess Pa Foundation to deliver first aid supplies and food to more than 1,500 victims of flooding in Sukhothai and Nan.

Foundation President Somdhavin Yungyoo, representing HRH Princess Soamsawalee, who founded the organization, the Naval Recruit Training Center, naval aviators and members of the Sattahip Tai Chi Club loaded 680 bags of provisions for residents and monks onto a truck bound for the flood-stricken region Aug. 8.

For the journey, the highway police led with vehicles in front and at the rear of the convoy to deliver the royal disaster relief packages to people on time.

The royal aid consisted of rice and dry food, including instant noodles, canned fish, canned pickled lettuce, chili paste, cloth, a blanket, shirts, pants, towels, medicine, mosquito-repellent, a torch, candles, a lighter, sanitary napkins, powdered detergent, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
