Iranian arrested in fatal traffic accident

An Iranian man was arrested after one person died and two others were injured in a South Pattaya traffic accident caused when he overtook a tour bus on the Bali Hai Pier flyover.

Hamed Madan Nezhad, 23, was taken into custody Sept. 2 in front of the Easy Kart go-kart racing track. His damaged Mazda 2 was parked nearby.

Witnesses reported that Nezhad was speeding toward Bali Hai when he attempted to pass a bus. During the maneuver, the Mazda struck a motorbike containing three unidentified people. The collision smashed the bike’s front wheel, catapulting the passengers, killing a woman and injuring the two male riders.

The injured were taken to Banglamung Hospital for treatment while the Iranian was detained at the Pattaya Police Station.

    They ( Iranian drivers) are very dangerous.In the soi where i stay,they racing all the night at crazy speed.
    I forgot how many times i call Police,nobody showed up,and the show goes on,putting locals and residents at maximum risk.Why ? Why ? We are not in Pattaya for die .
