Chonburi Deputy Gov. Pongsak Preechawit chaired a March 5 meeting to prepare for the royal visit and the opening of the contest will see teams from 25 provinces participate.
Officials prepare for the arrival of HRH Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya.
The two-day competition will see HRH the Princess appear on March 26 to award winners’ plaques. The project, which she founded, works to raise awareness of the perils of drug use and foster love and community spirit.
Last year, HRH Princess Ubolratana arrived at the temporary helipad of Wat Yansangwararam by helicopter and was greeted by Chonburi’s governor, chief judge of Region 2, commander of 14th Military Circle, commander of the Sattahip Naval Base and commander of Provincial Police Region 2. She then traveled to the Ambassador City by car where she announced the results followed by inviting the winners from each category to receive their awards. (CPRD)
