Food vendors briefed on sanitation laws

About 80 Sattahip-area bureaucrats and restaurateurs were briefed on food-safety laws at a sanitation knowledge and consumer-protection seminar in Khet Udomsak.

Mayor Pairoj Malakul Na Ayuthaya presided over the Feb. 28 workshop that saw Deputy Permanent Secretary Krittin Meelap explain the need for greater vigilance in food sanitation as more people eat from restaurants and street carts.

The seminar was aimed at helping people learn how to prepare and buy food that adheres to sanitation rules. Lecturers from Sattahip Km. 10 Hospital spoke on standards, regulations and the health risks of not following the rules.
