Erawan Group plants marine trees in Naklua

Employees from the Holiday Inn Pattaya, IBIS Hotel and Mercure Ocean Resort made artificial plants made from rope to help restore the marine ecosystem off the shores of Naklua.

Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome, Banglamung District Chief Sakchai Taengho and Erawan Group Managing Director Kamolwan Vipulakorn led the Dec. 13 activity in collaboration with the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources of Rayong, Naklua Local Fishermen’s Group, and Najomtien Local Fishermen’s Group.

Kamolwan said underwater plants build sustainability for Pattaya tourism destinations, maintain the abundance of the marine ecosystem by building forests and homes for aquatic animals and comply with the social and environmental policies of the company.

The annual event was the third one of its kind held by Erawan in Pattaya.
