More than 90 Election Committee of Thailand staffers visited Pattaya City Hall to study the city’s management process as part of training course for mid-level officials.

Uthin Suthisan, director of training for the ECT, and course instructor Police Lt. Col. Preecha Namuangrak, escorted the staffers from 72 provinces to city hall Aug. 31.

He explained the commission wants to develop and widen the experience of its staff and commissioned the course with the Political and Electoral Development Institute. The training revolves around students visiting organizations to learn and implement ideas within their own organizations.

This year, the institute has organized trips to five jurisdictions in Pattaya and Rayong. Pattaya, organized as its own administrative organization, is a special case study, he said.

“Pattaya’s management is different from other states because its mayor is elected by residents and this evidently expresses that Pattaya City uses democracy in its management, a productive point that can be modified to be implemented in organizations by listening to the suggestions of others,” Uthin said.

What, exactly, does Pattaya manage properly ?
Indeed, what does the " Management " grouo do other than attend grand openings, fashion shows,
birthday parties and ribbin cuttings ?

If these trainees are going to take with them ideas from this meeting, and spread them thru out the country then, Thailand is doomed !

And what will come of all this ? Another street fair in the blazing heat on the tree less non shaded Pattaya Beach Road. All show....no go. Any ideas what they should could call the fair? My idea is "ablazing pattaya"
