A Dutchman died after plunging from the eighth story of his central Pattaya hotel.
The body of Johannes Adrianus Antonius Maria Poirters, 63, was found about six hours after apparently falling from his hotel room on Soi 12.
A clerk from a nearby Family Mart found the body around 7 a.m. July 24. She said she had sold Poiters a bottle of alcohol the night before. The bottle and an ashtray were found on the balcony above. The room showed no signs of any other visitor or dispute.
Police assume the Dutchman either fell due to being intoxicated or committed suicide.
