The body of Mohammed Nahod, 26, was discovered July 14 at the Boutique Hotel in Soi Sunee. The remainder of a drug assumed to have been left behind by the ladyboy was recovered.
Hotel staffers said Nahod had returned to his room with a 20-year-old Thai man in a dress, but around 4 a.m., left him alone in the room, not returning until around 8 a.m. An hour later, the alleged prostitute left. Room cleaners found Nahod later that morning.
Police assume the overnight guest killed him or that Nahod committed suicide, although his valuables appeared to have been cleaned out.
