In a scene played out nearly a half-dozen times last year, police were called to Pattaya Beach near Soi 8 around 2 a.m. March 2 after reports drunk Russians were making a naked spectacle of themselves just a stone’s throw from one of the city’s most-popular bar areas.
Andrey Petrov, 31, and an unidentified Russian woman were detained by police, the former naked, the latter fully dressed. Extremely inebriated, Petrov was taken into custody for public drunkenness after putting his clothes back on.
He was released after paying a fine.
