A Krabi man who confessed to killing a neighbor on Thepprasit Soi 5 told police both drugs and revenge were the motive.

Sahas Butdoi, 34, was arrested Oct. 7, a day after admittedly fatally shooting Somyos Hongto, 39, three times in the neck and abdomen with a Smith & Wesson .38.

Police said Sahas confessed he’d killed his neighbor because, he claimed, Somyos had sexually assaulted his wife. The suspect also reportedly told police there was a drug-related motivation to the crime.

Sahas was charged with premeditated murder and illegal weapons possession.
