Chonburi will establish prevention-and-resolution centers for floods, landslides and storms for rainy season’s heaviest months.

Deputy Gov. Pakhornthorn Thienchai said the centers will offer a unified command system and training for personnel responsible for handling water-related crises. They’ll also be responsible for equipment, vehicles, pumps and communications networks for flood-relief personnel to use.

Chonburi experiences floods every year, with Bothong and Nongyai districts hit worst, causing runoff to accumulate in Phanasnikhom, Phanthong and Muang districts. (CPRD)
