Chonburi police arrest accused designer-brand pirate

Chonburi police arrested a Buriram woman for allegedly selling counterfeit clothing and jewelry after learning Pattaya police allegedly had not shut her down.

Superintendent Capt. Ronachai Jindamuk led a raid of an unnamed commercial building Dec. 12, arresting Kanya Srisombun, 18, and seizing six fake Prada handbags, 36 counterfeited Boss pants, 20 Boss shirts, 18 Nike shirts, 13 Nike shoes, 12 Armani shirts, 6 Hermes shirts, and six designer-branded watches.

Kanya was charged with distribution of counterfeit items that had been copyrighted in Thailand.
