The Pattaya Boat Union has contracted with the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Co-operatives to supply financing for new offices and loans to members.

At its Oct. 25 board meeting, union Vice President Nattapong Maanasom said tourists have an increasing number of options on how to spend their time and, to compete, boat operators need to be more aggressive in promoting their businesses.

The co-operatives bank has helped evaluate 45 members worthy of business-development loans and the union believes it will receive much needed financial help from the service.

Bank Director Sanit Tonsombut said BAAC will help the union choose where to buy land for new offices.
