Blind Pattaya Boy Scouts thanked Senator Sutham Phanthusak, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the National Scout Council of Thailand and Managing Director of Woodlands Resort who sponsored their trip to Sweden this summer.

Redemptorist School for the Blind Principal Aurora Sribuapan and patronage chief Chucheep Saisawad led three blind students to the Woodlands Resort on November 30 to thank Sutham Phanthusak for sponsorship of their trip to the World Boy Scouts Conference in late July.

Aurora told Sutham that Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden paid a special visit to the blind scouts, much impressing the youths. The trip, she said, gave the boys a lot of knowledge and gave them their first taste of dealing with wintry weather.

Kittichach Wimolwan, scout leader for the Redemptorist School, said the Swedish trip was an excellent experience for the youngsters to help them exchange cultural knowledge with scouts from around the world. They considered it, he said, a once-in-a-lifetime treat.
