Employees and shoppers at North Pattaya’s Big C supermarket rolled up their sleeves and gave blood for the benefit of the Chonburi Red Cross.

General Manager Monthathip Thongklai said the event was held to honor HM the King’s upcoming 84th birthday. Chonburi Red Cross President Watcharee Wanda oversaw the day-long blood drive.

Red Cross officials noted people can donate blood every three-to-four months and doing so is not harmful to those donating.
