A British tourist was drugged and robbed of 130,000 baht by a prostitute he picked up on Walking Street.
Brian George Murphy, 56, called police to his hotel room on Soi Buakaow Sept. 10 after regaining consciousness and discovering the money had disappeared from his room safe.
Murphy told police he’d met a 23-year-old woman on Walking Street and hired her for the evening. Together they drank beers in his room and he immediately passed out.
Hotel staff had collected the identification card of 23-year-old Preeyanut Pangsri, the photo of which Murphy told police was that of the girl he had brought to his room. Police are determining if the ID was fake and are investigating.
