The nude body of Harald Schmidberger, 60, was found in shrubbery outside the Saranchol Pattaya Condominium on Soi Wong Amat Feb. 6. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police broke into Schmidberger’s locked apartment and found cancer medication and cancer-treatment records from a Bangkok hospital.
Police suspect Schmidberger, the marketing manager of a sport drink company, was terminally ill and decided to take his own life.
