Pattaya engineering workers cleared sewage drains near the Father Ray Foundation in hopes of keeping contaminated water from flooding the streets.

Eight workers were using a pump truck July 19 to remove sand that had flowed into sewage lines from various storm drains. The sand removed will be treated at the Nongket Yai wastewater treatment plant.

The work was another routine drain clearing performed weekly in Pattaya. Residents can report blocked drains using the 1337 Call Center line.
