97 train to be village health volunteers

Nearly 100 area residents trained to become village health volunteers in training sponsored by two local hospitals and the Banglamung District Office.

Buppa Songsakulchai of the Pattaya Public Health Department was the featured speaker at the July 17 training organized with the help of Banglamung and Takientia hospitals.

The 97 health volunteers, the second squad trained by the district, educate village residents on the need for preventative health care and work to create healthy-living plans for neighbors.

The volunteers can also address issues such as poor sanitation, help relieve the stress of villages and report both good and bad news to the community.
