Police are searching for a young thief that stole a 900,000 baht necklace from the neck of a Swedish tourist.
Nils Åik Nylader, 46, called police after the motorbike driving thief yanked his platinum necklace with diamond pendant from his neck near the Duangduan restaurant in Central Pattaya July 23.
Nylader said he was unaware that necklace snatching and petty crime was such a problem in Pattaya. Had he known, he said, he’d have left the necklace at home.
Police have only a sketchy description of the suspect.
