Three men were arrested for allegedly robbing and beating a transvestite after a night of drinking in Pattaya.
Theerapong Janphet, 24; Kalong Somrak, 26; and Chatree Krairat, 32 - all of them drunk - were arrested Sept. 14 near Soi 4 for the alleged attack on Jakree Butsreephum, 26. Police recovered from them the transvestite’s handbag, 4,560 baht and a mobile phone.
Police said Theerapong confessed to getting in an argument with Jakree at a restaurant on Soi Bongkot, then assaulting him. The other two suspects denied all charges.
