Of the group, 69 volunteers will work in Panthong, 44 in Phanat Nikom and 36 in Bothong.
Udomsak Charoenwut, vice president of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization and members of the Chonburi PAO prepare to train “village health volunteers” at Bankao Sub-district offices in Panthong.
Udomsak said the Chonburi PAO wants to empower the public-health workforce by having people work as leaders in conducting activities to promote health in communities. Currently, though, it is facing a shortage of volunteers to cover the continuously growing population. Therefore it held the training to produce new volunteers for the services.
The training covered personality, human relations, code of ethics for healthcare workers, self-discipline and teamwork. Ten days of practical training on-site followed.
