Jumbled utility lines, low water pressures, flooding and teen drivers topped the list of complaints from Pattaya residents and business owners at the latest forum on solving Pattaya’s tourism-related woes.

Researcher Wirat Jeerchatrangkun led the July 3 forum at the J Trio Hotel organized to collect data on improving services and solving problems. About 100 people attended the hearing, the second in a series.

Attendees said, among other problems, Pattaya City Hall needed to solve issues with garbage collection, unevenly paved roads and teenagers driving motorbikes wildly, disturbing peace in the city.

Wirat said feedback from the hearings will help city hall develop policies to solve issues that have an impact on tourism.
