100 graduate weekend language course

More than 100 students earned diplomas in Pattaya’s latest weekend language course.

Pattaya Permanent Secretary Pakorn Sukhonthachat handed out certificates June 27 to 103 students enrolled in the city’s “non-formal education” project to teach English, Russian and Chinese once a week for 24 weeks.

Graduate Chatchadaporn Komsawat said the weekend course helped her immensely. She said she can now comfortably converse with the many foreign tourists who shop the beachfront mall.

Pakorn said the course has received lots of interest in Pattaya due to the large numbers of foreign tourists.
