U-Tapao Airport plans budget for 2011

The Royal Thai Fleet Commander, Admiral Narong Thesvisarn, and the managing director of U-Tapao International Airport chaired a committee meeting at City Hall recently to deliver a report regarding income and tourism numbers for U-Tapao Airport for the first quarter of 2011.

Figures show that there will be 1,307 domestic flights with a carrying capacity of approx. 10,358 arriving passengers and 11,336 departing.  In addition there will be 59 international flights carrying 5,315 passengers on arrival and 1,274 passengers on departure.

The entire yearly income in 2011 is expected to reach 32 million baht.

The airport was granted a budget of 25 million baht to develop the petrol filling system, 50 million baht to buy 5,500 liter capacity fire engines, 22 million baht to buy runway maintenance vehicles, and another 12 million baht which will be spent on moving electricity generators.
