A Filipina who allegedly walked out of a Central Festival Pattaya Beach sportswear shop wearing a swimsuit she hadn’t paid for is facing theft charges after shop staff caught on to her quick-change caper.

Diana Lyn Lopez, 30, was found fighting off security guards at the Super Sport outlet Jan. 18 who were pulling on a pink body suit commonly worn by beach volleyball players. She was taken to Pattaya Police Station for processing.

Sales clerk Patcharee Aimpracha told police Lopez had requested three swimsuits to try on, but allegedly only returned two. When she tried to leave the store, the panicked clerk sent mall security after her. They caught up to Lopez on the beach across from the Soi 9 mall and forced her to return to disrobe and face police.
