Pattaya area residents donated more than 200,000 baht in cash and goods to help flood victims in Ayutthaya.

Deputy Mayor Wutisak Rermkitkarn led a delegation of public- and private-sector groups to Bangbal District in Ayutthaya late last month to present the funds and 908 parcels of necessities to officials in the hard-hit region.

Items were donated by Banglamung District, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation, Isaan Club, Y.M.C.A. Pattaya Center and local Boy Scout troops.

The Ayutthaya effort follows an earlier donation of 245,000 baht in cash and goods to flooding victims in Nakhon Ratchasima, Prachinburi, Chaiyaphum, and Saraburi.
