Three motorbike taxi drivers are lucky to be alive after a fully loaded cement truck lost control and crashed into a wall near their stand in Sattahip.

No one was injured in the Dec. 23 accident on Sukhumvit Road near Soi Bonkai. The BAC Baan Amphur Trading Co. vehicle smashed into a wall 10 meters from the taxi stand where three drivers had been working.

Driver Kan Kanhawong, 40, said he was delivering the 21 tons of cement to Sattahip Pier when his brakes failed as he approached the Soi Bonkai intersection. Rather than crash into waiting cars and motorbikes, Kan turned the vehicle into an empty soi to the left of the intersection, but lost control of the truck. It tipped over and skidded into a building.

Kan was relatively unhurt, and despite no injuries to his legs, he evidently forgot to flee the scene.
